We all know that dogs can’t eat chocolate because it’s toxic for them, but what about cats?
Can cats have chocolate, is chocolate toxic for cats?
Let’s find out.
Can Cats Eat Chocolate?
Cats don’t always go for the food we eat because they can be pretty picky, but they can be coaxed to eat it by those who don’t know any better.
With that in mind, chocolate can be very lethal to cats, so never give yours any.
Chocolate, no matter what kind it is, contains theobromine, which is a naturally occurring plant alkaloid that is very toxic to kitties.
Caffeine is also found in chocolate and is very poisonous for cats to have, too.
