Welcome to 2019, you guys! We’re back in action after a brief hiatus. I thought I’d start the year out with some of the best dog toys I’ve found for the start of 2019.
Let’s face it, dogs can never have enough toys, am I right? Whether your dog savors their toys, destroys them like mine do, or just love to have an enormous collection, I’ve found some awesome toys.
Value, durability, budget-friendly – whatever you’re looking for, I’m sure you’ll find something that fits the bill.
Youngever 8 Durable Dog Chew Toys
So I’m generally a big fan of value packs like the Youngever 8 Durable Dog Chew Toys pack.
This pack is particularly for small to medium-sized dogs, so keep that in mind. Although, if you and your dog aren’t picky like mine, I suppose you could give them to your large dog, as well.
This pack is also perfect if you’ve got a teething puppy, too! It comes with 3 puppy teething toys and then 5 dog ropes, so it’s got everything covered.
Each rubber toy is made of 100% natural rubber material, so they’re super safe for your dog to have. Just make sure they’re not inhaling or eating the rubber if they’re aggressive chewers or destroyers, like my pups are.
The ropes are actually made of a cotton material that literally cleans your dog’s teeth while they play with them, so there’s an added bonus.
Youngever also offers a 100% money back guarantee if you and/or your pup aren’t satisfied, plus they also come in a mesh bag – easy cleanup!
Multi Pet Lamb Chop Squeak Toy
I always try to have a value pick in all of my reviews for those on a budget. This time it’s the Multi Pet Lamb Chop Squeak Toy.
I’ve bought my girls a few of these in the past and they absolutely adore them. The quality and price are both definite pros to this toy for dogs.
It’s great for snuggling, throwing, you name it. It also comes with a squeaker inside for additional entertainment.
It’s super soft, lightweight, and is more durable than it actually looks, unless your dog is a shredder.
IFOYO Hide and Seek Puzzle Plush
If you have a dog who gets bored easily, and possibly becomes naughty in the process, you know just how important it is to keep them occupied. As a solution, I present to you the IFOYO Hide and Seek Plush Puzzle!
You can choose from the squirrels pictured above, but also have pandas, dinosaurs, and chickens to choose from – all equally cute!
Each one is crafted from high-quality, durable plush material that holds up well against regular biting and chewing. Aggressive chewers and shredders, however, are going to tear this one apart, so keep that in mind.
It comes with 3 plush toys of whichever animal you choose and the plush thing you hide them in. The plushies have squeakers, too.
Dogs have a natural instinct and general love of seeking things, so this toy is perfect for all types of dogs – bored and destructive, especially.
Benebone Wishbone Chew Toy for Aggressive Chewers
I am in absolute love with the Benebone Wishbone Chew Toy for Aggressive Chewers. Perfect for my girls, perfect for your aggressive chewer, too!
They come in small, medium and large sizes, as well as REAL Bacon, REAL Chicken, and REAL Peanut flavors, so lots of choices to go through! There’s a size and flavor available for all dogs.
The shape of the chew itself makes it incredibly easy for your dog to hold due to their lack of thumbs.
Benebone uses 100% REAL food ingredients in their bone chews to entice your dog with real flavors and scents. However, these are not actual bones – they are a toy that are not supposed to be eaten like one. Because of this, they are built to be extremely tough.
Once your dog has really roughed it up enough, which is a point you’ll definitely notice, the company recommends that you toss it out. Thankfully, due to the price, they have amazing value and can easily be bought again.
The company also recommends that young puppies (when baby teeth are present), senior pups, and any dog who has compromised or broken teeth not be given this toy.
StarMark Bob-A-Lot Interactive Dog Toy
Interactive dog toys are something I often swear by if I’m going out for longer periods of time. The StarMark Bob-A-Lot Interactive Dog Toy is both entertaining and rewarding for pups.
This interactive toy is made of durable, soft, puncture-resistant materials and is able to stand up on its own thanks to the weighted bottom that makes it wobble.
It uses adjustable openings that make your dog have to move it around in certain ways and engage them in learning how and where the treats or kibble fall out. Because the openings are adjustable, you can change them every time you give it to your pup so they get to figure it out all over again.
In total, it can fit up to 3 cups of food, be it treats or kibble, at one time.
Chuckit! Ultra XX-Large Ball
What dog doesn’t love a good ball that lasts? The Chuckit! Ultra XX-Large Ball is the perfect addition to any toy collection.
It comes in an abundance of sizes – small, medium, large, X-large, and XX-Large. There are also value packs available, including a small 2 pack, small 4 pack, medium 2 pack, medium 4 pack, and large 2 pack.
This ball is able to float in water, has a high bounce, is perfect for big dogs, and is incredibly durable.
It’s made of a natural, high-bounce rubber that’s also incredibly easy to clean. No way is this your ordinary tennis ball or ordinary ball for dogs.
Outward Hound Dog Brick Treat Exercise Game
The Outward Hound Dog Brick Exercise Game is one of the best puzzle toys for dogs I have ever seen. It’s definitely the most challenging one yet!
Your dog has 3 ways to find hidden treats in this puzzle toy. The toy features easy open and close flip compartments that you hide treats in for your dog to find, as well as removable, separate bone puzzle pieces for additional fun.
In total, there are 20 places for you to hide treats in.
Patchwork Colossal 15″ Rabbit
I absolutely love the Patchwork Colossal 15″ Rabbit – it’s so cute!
As the name suggests, this toy is 15″ in size.
It’s made of soft, premium plush that is double stitched for added durability. This isn’t exactly made for aggressive chewers and shredders, so keep that in mind. Although, this is a pretty good “cannon fodder toy”, which I buy frequently for my girls to just destroy.
Some dogs love to play that way, so no harm done!
It offers multiple crinkley noises and squeakers throughout the toy, so lots of audible engagement.
BenchMart Dog Snuffle Mat
I don’t blame dog owners for being a tad skeptical over this toy, but the BenchMart Dog Snuffle Mat is actually beneficial for your dog. It both entertains your pup and keeps him on his toes.
You can choose from Blue/Purple, Blue/Yellow, Four Lines, Four Petals, Grey/White, Purple/Pink, and Yellow/Purple/Blue.
Each one is made using high-quality, washable fabric and actually cleans your dog’s teeth through use.
Dogs have foraging skills by nature, which is why this toy is so engaging to them when set up in the proper way. Your dog has a powerful nose and should be given toys that help them use their incredible sense of smell.
Hiding treats using this mat gives them a bit of a challenge. Simply looking at the mat based on the picture doesn’t do it justice – it’s much more complex when it’s in your hands. Like your dog, it’ll take you a few minutes to figure out.
You can hang it up on a hook when it’s not in use and throw it in your washing machine if it gets dirty. You can use it both inside and outside, as well.
Zeus Bulldog Motorized Bouncing Toy
I cannot begin to explain how hilarious and entertaining the Zeus Bulldog Motorized Bouncing Toy really is.
This interactive and insanely entertaining toy, which is a lot of fun for everyone in the room, comes with 3 AAA batteries.
The cover is machine washable and able to be taken off of the toy completely. Just open the velcro up and remove it.
It barks and bounces around for about 10 to 20 seconds and then stops, which encourages your dog to go and roll it, bump it, however they play with their toy.
